Who We Are
Our cross-inspired mission is proclaiming Jesus Christ as crucified Savior, believing in Him as risen Lord and glorifying him as ascended King.
Belief requires a response. The values that shape and define us as a church are our particular response to the biblical truths that we embrace. Simply put, our values are the practical expression of the things we believe, and are summed up in the following points. We’re committed to making known:
His Word. Only in the Bible has God given to people the revelation necessary to know Him and to understand the world in which they live. That’s why solid, biblical preaching and teaching are such a priority at Sovereign Grace Church. The central message of the Bible is the Gospel: the good news of God’s love and salvation in Jesus Christ.
His Love. The Christian life is far more than Sunday morning meetings — we share our lives like family! When you visit Sovereign Grace Church, you’ll find a church family that’s committed to fellowship and developing relationships that glorify God. We do much of this on a day-to-day basis through a network of small Home Groups that meet during the week throughout our local community.
His Worth. In an age dominated by selfish pursuits, God-centered worship is a distinct feature of Sovereign Grace Church. We seek to bring Him glory individually and as a church family. Some ways we do this are through singing, praying, Bible reading, administration of the sacraments, giving of our finances and the preaching of God’s Word.
His Gospel. As Christians, we have a great commission from God to share the good news of the gospel to those outside of faith in Jesus Christ. As a church, we recognize the unique calling God has given Sovereign Grace Church to declare and demonstrate the transforming effect of the gospel in our community’s workplaces, school rooms, neighborhoods and living rooms.
