Royal Rangers
What is Royal Rangers?
Royal Rangers is one of America’s largest and foremost adventure programs for boys. It is a national program designed to meet the physical, spiritual, mental and social needs of boys and young men. Our ultimate goal is to help boys to recognize and grow into their place of leadership and responsibility as followers of Christ.
The threefold purpose of the Royal Rangers is:
-
To evangelize boys for Christ
-
To develop the total boy for Christ — spiritually, physically, mentally and socially
- To keep boys for Christ and in the church
What is a typical meeting like?
The average Thursday night meeting usually follows a typical agenda that includes: opening business, Bible study, meeting feature, recreation and devotion.
What is the age range?
Our church hosts three Royal Ranger groups:
What costs are involved?
Registration costs vary from year to year, but are generally $25-30 per boy. This covers the cost of providing a Royal Ranger t-shirt and awards vest. Dues of 50 cents are collected at each regular outpost meeting to subsidize miscellaneous costs. Certain events (e.g., camp outs) may also have a nominal fee to cover the cost of food and transportation.
Royal Ranger motto: READY
Ready for anything! Ready to work, play, serve, worship, live, and obey God’s Word.
Royal Ranger code
A Royal Ranger is:
Courteous: He is polite, kind, and thoughtful.
Obedient: He obeys his parents, leaders, and those in authority.
Spiritual: He prays, reads the Bible, and witnesses.
Alert: He is mentally, physically and spiritually alert.
Royal Ranger pledge
With God’s help, I will do my best to serve God, my church, and my fellow man; to live by the Ranger Code; to make the Golden Rule my daily rule.
The Golden Rule
